Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP is created from a small sample of your own blood.

After processing the blood in a centrifuge, the platelet-rich portion is concentrated and introduced into the injured tissue.

Platelets contain naturally occurring growth factors and signaling proteins involved in tissue repair and cellular communication. PRP is commonly used to support healing in tendons, ligaments, muscles, and selected arthritic joints.

PRP is not a stem-cell treatment, and it cannot guarantee tissue regeneration or complete pain relief. Its purpose is to support the local healing environment in appropriately selected patients.


PRP With ACellĀ® Micromatrix

ACellĀ® Micromatrix is an extracellular matrix material derived from porcine urinary bladder tissue. It is designed to provide a structural scaffold that may support the body’s natural tissue-remodeling response.

In selected orthopedic conditions, ACell may be combined with PRP. The PRP provides concentrated growth factors and cellular signals, while the extracellular matrix may help create a supportive framework within the treated area.

Depending on the diagnosis and tissue involved, PRP combined with ACell may be considered for:

  • Chronic tendon injuries
  • Partial tendon tears
  • Ligament injuries
  • Muscle injuries
  • Selected meniscus injuries
  • Certain joint conditions
  • Sports injuries that have not fully responded to conservative care

The decision to use ACell is based on your diagnosis, imaging findings, tissue quality, previous treatments, medical history, and overall treatment goals.

ACell is not appropriate for every injury. Its use in orthopedic procedures may be considered off-label, and clinical research evaluating extracellular matrix products in musculoskeletal care continues to evolve.

Before treatment, we will discuss the intended purpose, potential benefits, limitations, available evidence, alternatives, and expected recovery process.


Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy uses a specialized solution introduced into selected ligaments, tendons, joint capsules, or attachment points.

The goal is to stimulate a localized healing response and improve support around joints affected by chronic instability, ligament laxity, or tendon-attachment pain.

Prolotherapy may be used alone or as part of a broader regenerative and rehabilitation plan.


IRAPĀ® Therapy

IRAP stands for Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein.

This biologic therapy is designed to reduce the activity of interleukin-1, an inflammatory signaling protein involved in cartilage breakdown and joint inflammation.

For selected patients with osteoarthritis or inflammatory joint conditions, IRAP may help improve pain and function while supporting a healthier joint environment.

IRAP is prepared using the patient’s own blood and is considered based on diagnosis, severity of joint damage, previous treatments, and individual goals.


ProlozoneĀ® Therapy

Prolozone combines regenerative injection techniques with oxygen-ozone therapy.

It may be used to support circulation, tissue oxygenation, and the local healing response in selected joints, ligaments, tendons, and soft-tissue injuries.

Prolozone may be incorporated into a treatment plan when clinically appropriate, but it is not the correct choice for every patient or every injury.

Regenerative injections work best when combined with proper rehabilitation.

An injection may support the healing environment, but it does not automatically correct weakness, poor movement mechanics, joint instability, or the activity pattern that contributed to the injury.
