She serves as a personal investigator in search of uncovering the root cause of your health concerns and provides naturopathic treatments and wellness plans tailored specifically for each individual according to their unique needs. Her particular areas of focus include: Gastrointestinal Health, Neurological Imbalance, Women’s Health including pregnancy preparation, pre- and post-conception care and fertility concerns, Men’s Health, Autoimmunity, Chronic Disease, IV Nutritional Therapy, Regenerative Medicine and Natural Aesthetics. Dr. Black specializes in the integration of many healing modalities including botanical medicine, natural and non-toxic nutraceuticals, targeted nutritional plans, homeopathy, in-depth patient education and lifestyle interventions. She truly believes in the healing power of nature and body’s innate ability to heal itself. Her role as a Naturopathic Doctor is to support, facilitate and augment this process by identifying and removing obstacles to health and recovery, and by reinforcing the creation of a healthy internal and external environment.
Before following her dream of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Black lived in Nashville, TN where she pursued a career in the entertainment industry as a singer/songwriter. A natural-born performer who would loved to write and sing, eventually landed her a spot in the prestigious Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business at Belmont University where she studied in’s and out’s of Music Business. You could often find her writing and recording in the studios of Belmont University, Ocean Way Studio or the Historic RCA Studio B. Her passion for music and its power to heal is what eventually lead her to discover Naturopathic Medicine.
When not at the clinic Dr. Black enjoys writing music, playing guitar and piano, hiking, spending time outdoors, formulating tea recipes, working on her chestnut farm, and enjoying quality time with friends and family.
“The art of healing comes from nature, not from the physician. Therefore the physician must start from nature, with an open mind.” - Paracelsus
